EDIT: something pointed out to me on reddit... when dragging into optimized on the Q-Sampler you don't need to adjust the pitch at all. It tunes it to be the correct pitch on your keys. When using the Original mode however you would need to do this. Sorry for the mix up!

In this video I want to go over my new workflow for importing 3rd party 808 samples into my Logic Pro X projects. The Q-sampler, a plugin that came with the new 10.5 update to Logic is our workhorse for anything sample based, and in this case 808s. It's a simple drag and drop process and then a couple quick tweaks and you're ready to make your 808 patterns. I will be showing you how to import your 3rd party 808 samples, how to setup the Q-sampler and some other parameters to get the most out of your samples, and then finally a couple of techniques and FX plugins to really make your 808s stand out in the mix if they're not quite present in your track.
