In this video I will be going over one of the most important parts of music production, equalization or EQ. EQ is the process of taking out, boosting, and shaping different frequencies allowing your tracks to compliment each other, giving you a better overall mix. I will first explain the concept of EQ and the different parameters used to affect the the frequencies, and then I will apply those concepts to a beat I made using the Channel EQ plugin. The Channel EQ plugin comes stock in Logic Pro X, but the concepts explained in this video can be applied in any DAW such as Ableton Live, FL Studio, Pro Tools, Cubase, etc.
As always, thank you for watching. Enjoy!
